We believe the Bible to be the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, God-breathed and preserved and, therefore, are the sole and final authority for faith and practice. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. We believe that God has faithfully preserved his Word in the Masoretic Hebrew text of the Old Testament and the Greek Received Text of the New Testament. The accuracy and legitimacy of all Bible translations shall be judged by this standard. We believe that God has faithfully and perfectly preserved his inspired, inerrant, infallible Word for the English-speaking people in the King James Version, so that we can say with good conscience that the King James Bible is the Word of God. (2Timothy. 2:15; Titus 1:7-9; Psalm 12:6-7; Isaiah 40:8; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Godhead
We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. We believe God to be perfect in his holiness, righteous in every deed, omniscient in his knowledge, omnipotent in his strength, and omnipresent in his existence. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew. 22:32; 28:19; Luke. 1:37; John. 1:1-3, 14:10, 26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that he is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. (John 1:12-13, 3:5-6, 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30; 1 John 2:20, 27).
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as payment for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Galatians 4:4-5; Philippians 2:5-8).
Salvation
We believe that the only way a person can go to Heaven when he dies is to first place his faith in the payment that Jesus Christ provided with His shed blood on the cross. Once a person is saved by putting his faith in Jesus, we are commanded to be baptized by immersion to show to others what took place when we trusted Christ; we do this in obedience, not to save us but to show that we have been saved. (Matthew 12:31-32; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-10; Romans 6:23; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 1:5; Romans 4; Hebrews 9:22; 1 John 2:2; Joshua 24:15).
We believe that there are two ordinances for the church today
Baptism We believe that in order for a baptism to be biblical it must be by immersion, after salvation, and in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost under the authority of the local church. (Acts 2:41; Acts 8:38-39; Colossians 2:12)
The Lord’s Supper We believe in participating in the Lord’s Supper on a regular basis to remember the payment Jesus made for us and to express our love to Him for that payment. The Lord’s Supper is not kept to take us to Heaven but to thank Jesus for His sacrifice.
We believe that the family unit should be strong and healthy.
The first institution God made on earth was the family. Programs in the church are geared to help build strong families. We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman only.
We believe that it is our responsibility, as outlined in the Bible, to spread the Gospel to our area, nation, and world. (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15)
We believe that Christians should live a sanctified, separated life from the world.
The basis for these standards is found in the Bible. We make no apology for our conservative beliefs in many areas, including music, social issues, dress, and behavior.
We believe that a church should be filled, not with spectators, but participants.
We believe a church should be described as a spiritual hospital where people come for spiritual healing, not a spiritual museum.(James 1:22)
